Ametller Origen joins BBHI project

Institut Guttmann and Ametller Origen sign a collaboration agreement in the framework of the BBHI project. Both entities will collaborate in the preparation of nutrition recommendations for the more than 4,500 volunteers participating in the study. One of the habits of life we know today that contribute to better brain health is nutrition, by influencing the cognitive functioning and protection of our brain. The professionals of Ametller Origen will elaborate nutrition advice based on the Mediterranean diet with useful proposals so that the volunteers can put them into practice. In addition, the 1000 volunteers who are doing the face-to-face tests in phase II of the project will receive a discount voucher of € 5 that they can spend in the Casa Ametller stores.

Mediterranean diet

The Mediterranean diet is a food model recognised as the most balanced and healthy diet by the international scientific community. This was stated by UNESCO when it included it in the list of Intangible Heritage of Humanity. This diet is based on an abundant consumption of vegetables, fish, fruit, cereals, legumes and olive oil as essential fat, and also often includes wine. In addition to the diversity of ingredients, the Mediterranean diet involves a preference for seasonal products and the use of local herbs.
