Barcelona Brain Health Initiative is a project led by the Guttmann Institute (*) with the support of ‘Obra Social La Caixa’ and the Abertis Foundation, which has a multidisciplinary team of professionals including researchers from the University of Barcelona and the University Of Harvard.
Guttmann Institute is a registered trademark in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. It is forbidden to reproduce this website in whole or in part without citing its origin or without the express authorization of the Guttmann Institute, which reserves the right to make, without prior notice, any modification that it deems appropriate both the information and the presentation contained On this website.
Data Protection
The Guttmann Institute is the owner of the database generated with the personal data provided by users on the website bbhi.cat.
The user authorizes the automated processing of personal data provided for the provision of agreed services. The treatment will be located at the Guttmann Institute, Camino de Can Ruti, s/n 08916 Badalona, under the supervision and control of the Guttmann Institute.
The information contained in the aforementioned database is used both for the correct identification of the users, as well as for the statistical studies of the users that allow designing improvements in the services provided, carrying out basic administration tasks and being able to report incidents , activities and news to registered users via email.
The personal information collected from registered users is stored to the data processing property of the Guttmann Institute that takes the technical, organizational and security measures that guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of the information in accordance with the one established to the current regulations , national and European, in terms of protection of personal data and services of the information society and electronic commerce, and the other applicable legislation.
The user will respond, in any case, of the veracity of the data provided, reserving the Guttmann Institute the right to exclude from the registered services any user who has provided false data, without prejudice to the rest of legal actions.
Any user can, at any time, exercise the right of access, rectification, deletion, portability, limitation and opposition of their personal data supplied to the Guttmann Institute, through communication addressed to the Guttmann Institute with the reference “BBHI Data Processing”. (*) The Guttmann Institute Foundation, with CIF number G08519100, is a non-profit social initiative entity registered with the number 189 in the Register of Private Foundations of the Department of Justice of the Generalitat of Catalonia. Classified as charity of assistance type since 1965, it is included among the beneficiary entities of patronage in accordance with Law 49/2002, of December 23, “of fiscal regime of the non-profit entities and of the fiscal incentives to the patronage”.
The Guttmann Institute – Hospital of Neurorehabilitation “is part of the National Health System -SISCAT-, is accredited as Reference Hospital by the Department of Health of the Generalitat of Catalonia and also as National Reference Center -CSUR- for the treatment of Injury Specialized by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.
It is accredited as a University Institute attached to the UAB by Decree 230/2001 of the Generalitat of Catalonia, having begun its teaching activities in 1999 through a cooperation agreement with the Doctorate and Postgraduate School of the same university.
