El BBHI recieves the Trifermed Awards for social impact

El Barcelona Brain Health Initiative will recieve this Thursday the Trifermed Awards for social impact in healthcare in the "Initiatives" Category.
The 4th edition of the awards will be held at the CaixaForum Auditorium in Barcelona. The awards recognize foundations, initiatives and health promoters of projects with social impact.
The awards, organised by trifermed, are chaired by Luis Ruiz-Ávila (CEO of Aquilon), supported by a jury made up of international experts from local academy, research, industry and healthcare. The winners of this edition are:

"The trifermed awards seek to bring out the human value behind each person or group of people who approach each day thinking of helping others, improving the quality of people's lives, and finding solutions to prevent, diagnose and cure the diseases against which we fight every day. The awards make stories that are bound to change the world of health be heard," explains Sergi Trilla, the initiator of the awards.
- "Initiatives" Category: Barcelona Brain Health Initiative (Institut Guttmann), represented by Alvaro Pascual-Leone (Scientific Advisor of the Institut Guttmann in Neurorehabilitation affiliated to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Scientific Director of the Barcelona Brain Health Initiative, and Professor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School),
- "Impulse" Category: Marta Aymerich (Vice President for Strategic Planning and Research at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya),
- "Foundations" Category: Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu, Barcelona Children's Hospital represented by Manuel del Castillo (Managing Director),
- "Extraordinary" Award: Associació Pallapupes, represented by Angie Rosales (Founder and Managing Director).
