A diet enriched with nuts improves cognition and perception in older people

BBHI principal investigator, David Bartrés-Faz, participates in a study led by Dr. Emili Ros, BBHI scientific advisor, published recently The American Journal of Clinicial Nutrition.

The study shows that a diet enriched with nuts can improve the cognition and perception of the elderly.

The increase in the longevity of the population has led to a global increase in the prevalence of dementia, which implies an important socio-economic problem. Since there is no treatment to cure dementia, identifying interventions that prevent or delay its onset is a topic of maximum interest in public health.
